Process
Franklin
City Schools began its Strategic Planning process in the autumn
of 1998. The five year plan was adopted in November 1999.
On May 21, 2003, the Strategic Planning group met again to
review the district's progress against the original goals.
This meeting marked the end of this planning cycle.
MISSION
The mission of the Franklin City Schools, a progressive,
community-based school district, is to guarantee all students
can grow, develop, and learn to their fullest potential by
providing a challenging, individualized curriculum; an exemplary,
compassionate staff; and a state-of-the-art, safe and supportive
learning environment.

OBJECTIVES
" To graduate all students.
" To have 100% passage rate on state proficiency tests at
all levels.
" To have 100% of graduates employed or in post-secondary
education within six months of graduation.
" To improve and maintain attendance at a level of 98% or
above.
" To have 100% of our students meet the goals of their individualized
education plan at the end of each year.
" To have every student involved in extra-curricular or volunteer
activities.
STRATEGIES
" We will develop and implement partnerships with the community.
" We will develop and implement ways to enhance and promote
the strengths and successes of the Franklin City Schools.
" We will develop and implement a plan that creates individualized
educational programs for all students that will involve students,
parents, educators, and the community.
" We will develop and implement personnel programs enabling
all employees to be well informed and good at what they do.
" We will develop and conduct a demographic study of each
Franklin graduate.
" We will develop and implement a plan to improve facilities
to maximize learning
